How to guide: Make Start Page default search engine

Flashpeak has not added startpage.com to their list of quicksearch engines. (hint hint)

With a little poking around I found a way to set startpage as my default search engine AND found a way to be able to still clear my cookies without losing my startpage settings.

Now the really cool thing about going through all these steps as opposed to simply using their "cookie" method is that you can still use "clean all trace" whenever you want and your startpage settings are saved in your custom definition.
