My Menu Bar has disappeared! Plz help

Post by r2kmantra » Fri Apr 18, 2014 10:47 pm

Hi,

I use SlimBoat on my Ubuntu 12.10.

I remember that one day (by mistake), I did away with the Menu Bar.

I just don't know how to get it back.

Now i don't see any menu Bar at all.

What do i do?

have tried all keyboard shortcuts. none have worked to get the Menu Bar back.

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, for all the help!

Oh, I am a Newbie. Not a techie :)

Cheers

I know you said you've tried all KB shortcuts, but Ctrl + F10 should work. The only other thing I can suggest is to right click where the toolbar should be, and see if that brings up the toolbars options menu.

hi scribe_uk

thanks for chipping in :)

yes, i had tried the 2 things you mentioned, before. none of them worked.

i tried them again now, after reading your post. again, nothing happened.

ctrl+f10 did nothing. and right click on top, doesn't bring on anything.

i only have: x(cross, to close), -(minus sign, to minimize window), square box(to maximize/resize window) -- on the top. nothing else!

plz help :(

if you have a smallish icon, most likely toward the upper right of the window, with three or four horizontal lines click on that and see what you get for a menu.
