green button

Post by SteveDyson » Tue Jun 09, 2015 2:49 am

I'm a newby.
Just downloaded and installed SlimBrower.
I want to add a search engine to the Quick Search Bar.
The Help file says:
Using Quick-Search Bar
You can click the search button (green arrow) or its drop-down arrow to access the drop-down menu listing all available engines.
Problem is that I can't see 'the search button (green arrow) or its drop-down arrow'.
Is the help file up to date?
Am I missing something silly?
Thanks for any help.

It is not green. Not sure how long it has not been green.

When you are seeing the Quick-Search Bar you will notice to the left of the text area an icon and just to the right of the icon a drop down arrow. The Icon represents the current selected search engine and the drop down arrow should produce a list of available search engines to select from.

You can change the default settings for search in the Options. And you can eliminate search engine choices that you will never use by deleting them from the Quicksearch folder found under the Slimbrowser Data Folder which can be accessed by clicking Tools:Folder Shortcuts:Slimbrowser Data Folder
