Open tab in new browser -

Post by Raa'Kaan » Sun Nov 13, 2011 12:05 pm

Is there currently a way to move an open a tab to a new browser window?

This just happened to me hence why I would like this feature...

Example:

I was browsing away, googling things etc... and I decided to go watch the latest "Big Bang Theory" episode.

As soon as I opened the tab I immediatly wished I had it on my secondary monitor (TV) and in its own seperate browser window so I could maximize it, watch the show, and continue with my currently open tabs on the laptop screen.

So naturally I hit CTRL+N and then dragged the URL from the address bar in to the new session and bingo I was all set.

But it could be a nifty new feature!!

Right-Click on tab / Move tab to new browser

If anyone has used Notepad++ they have a similar feature to move text files to new windows.

So...

Many other browsers, now have the ability to simply drag a tab to the desktop and that opens a new browser instance. (Better than ctrl-n because the site is opened in the new tab.)

I believe they are calling them "tear-off tabs"

It's basically the same idea as I posted above, but better.

I beg you to include this feature in SlimBrowser.

I don't quite understand what you mean.

Slimbrowser does NOT have this feature.

IE9, Chrome, and firefox DO have this feature and I am begging for Slimbrowser to have it also!

Seriously, it would be rad.

If you look at the number of posts a user has made and see only 1 to 5, if the post makes less sense than normal, if it has a LINK anywhere in the post including the signature, odds are it is a SPAM post with the sole intention of spamming the link. The attempt to be partially on topic is the effort to disguise that it is a SPAM posting.
