Hi,

after updating from v5 to v6 the keyword highlighting button in the quick search bar is now hidden in a popup menĂ¼. Is there a way to get the old style back?

The developer favors the toolbar style Find and it is now default on installation. You can change this behaviour in the program Options.

Click Tools > Options > Misc and uncheck the bottom-most box. The program will retain this setting for future minor updates.

This affects only CTRL-F search. What I mean is the quick-search toolbar.

oh my bad. I got it now. I don't know of any way to change that program behaviour.

It took me a while to find it the first time I looked for it after it was moved to the drop down. But I hardly use it from the quick search because it is available as an automatic (always on) feature of the Ctrl+F Find toolbar so I use that instead of the quick search bar for searching webpages.

New CTRL+F is nice and I think I will use it.

But quick search bar is so convenient because you can google something and then immediately highlight the keywords in the page without CTRL+F and cutting and pasting....

I'll move this Topic to Feature Request forum and perhaps the developer can make the quick search highlight an always on or off toggle.
