Private Browsing Mode?

Post by sweidre7 » Mon Jul 19, 2010 6:29 am

Hi,

Has Slimbrowser a private mode, where browsing history, temporary files, cookies etc. are not saved at all, like the incognito mode in Google Chrome, by adding a word: -private, -privatebrowsing, -incognito etc. after the command:
For example:
"C:\Program\SlimBrowser\sbrowser.exe" -private
"C:\Program\SlimBrowser\sbrowser.exe" -privatebrowsing
"C:\Program\SlimBrowser\sbrowser.exe" -incognito

Cheers,

Slimbrowser has a manually activated private browsing mode called Clean Trace.

There are two way to do it.

1. Click Tools > Options > Privacy where you can checkmark "Clean the following items selected at exit". Then checkmark the items you wish to have cleaned each time you exit the browser. This cleaning will occur each time you exit the browser effectively putting Slimbrowser in a permanent private mode of your choice until you uncheck it.

2. Tools > Privacy > Clean Trace provides access to some cleaning options that can be accomplished anytime during a browsing session.

• You can "Clean Trace by Domain...." which asks for a domain name, such as google.com, and all history for that domain will be cleaned.
• You can select any of the individual areas where information is stored and clean it and nothing else
• You can select "Clean Preselected Items" which will clean any items you previously checkmarked in Tools > Options > Privacy
• You can "Clean All Trace" which will clean all browsing trace

No. I am sorry. That is currently not supported. I am not aware of any programming interface from IE8 which allows us to achieve that.
