* I use "Flashpeak slimbrowser" and I want to install duckduckgo as my default search engine in the top right hand corner.

When I click on "Create your own search engine" in the r.hand drop down box it keeps saying
"Please direct the keyboard focus to the keyboard input box on the search page by clicking the mouse inside it. If you have done so click <OK> to continue"...... What the heck does that mean ???
- When I click on "Manage your own search engine" it says 'Failed to search engine data !"

I JUST Don't Understand what I'm supposed to do ?????

• you must first open your search engin webpage

• when you click the make your own search engine

• the place on a webpage, or anywhere else on your computer screen, where your cursor is blinking is referred to ask the "focus" of your computer

• you must have the cursor blinking in the text entry area of the choosen search engine webpage, the question that is asked wants you to click your mouse in the text entry area of the choosen search engine webpage if your cursor is not already blinking there

Hi,I've had the cursor flashing in the short searchbox, and then I clicked on the downward pointing small black arrow and then clicked on the "Create your own search engine", text.
- Thats when a popup appeared & said 'Please direct the blah, blah, blah" AND THATS AS FAR AS YOU CAN GET......... :(
- bECAUSE THE FLASHING CURSOR DISAPPEARS AT THAT MOMENT IN TIME - IT CANT BE DONE AS FAR AS I can se - NOT by this method anyway...... :(
Drat !
Thanks anyway...... Drat !

well this is what I do more often than not

I've got the Search icon on the Standard Toolbar and if you drag your URL for the search engine to that icon it will take you there each time you click the icon

Hi,the problem is now fixed..... :) I got on to slimbrowser about it,and they added duckduckgo to their list of approved Searchengines, and now I just select duckduckgo from their dropdown list, and suddenly its the one I'm now using.... :) I HOPE it stays there by default After I've shut my computer down, and re-booted it in the computer sessions to come....
- I am a computer "Newbie" & I'm quite ill, as well..... But THANKS,anyway...... :)
