HTML5 is really famous these days. I want you to add HTML5 feature in Slimboat if you wish it to be an advanced browser. And I think flash is a must. My flash download never completes in Slimboat. It stops somewhere at 99-100%. Add built-in flash player for this problem to be solved. Adding both would be a good idea. Using: Slimboat 1.1.24(Latest as of 4th March 2013) |

I second the request for HTML5. Version 1.1.52. I have flash working but sites I visit that only use HTML5 do not work. When loading the following site with Slimboat, I get an error "Sorry this video will not work because your browser does not support HTML5 video." http://roaming-initiative.com/mediagoblin/u/chapchap70/m/basset-hound-vacuumed |

I've just discovered SlimBoat and I like it much, it's light and fast and even has some original features. But I can't make it work with HTML5 videos in Linux, and that's a big trouble for me. My system doesn't have Flash, so basically I can't watch videos if I use SlimBoat. I understand that it's a small dev team and proper HTML5 support is not their priority. I'm curious if anyone managed to make HTML5 videos work with Linux Slimboat? |
